Since a group of residents from the Quarterlands Road area banded together in 2022 to object to a proposed development in their area – the water and sewage infrastructure was already inadequate for the community – we’ve been supporting this tireless group of ordinary people turned activists in getting the message out there.
And their persistence in continuing the fight for over two years is bearing fruit! The Quarterlands campaign became affiliated with Friends of the Earth in Jan 2025 (see them on the official FOE map) for their determination to preserve the ecological heritage and wildlife habitats in their corner of the Lagan Valley Regional Park.
Our creative contribution to this vital campaign includes a logo and website, getting a petition up and running (2000+signatures and counting) a social media presence which is really gaining traction, and leaflets to update local residents and raise public awareness.
